Making Money From Home With Odesk

While I wait for my Squidoo and online portfolio's to grow and start earning what I want them too, I am also using oDesk to earn money online from home. Well actually the beauty of odesk is that you can earn money anywhere, anytime, as long as you have access to a computer and internet connection! Anyone can join odesk and start applying for work, and there are literally thousands of online jobs available, from web design to article writing, telephone operatives to PA's and more. 

There is full and part time work available. 

However there are a few things you need to know BEFORE you start working with odesk to really get the best out of it, be safe and avoid some common pitfalls!

What Inspired Me To Start On Squidoo?

So what made me want to start on Squidoo anyhow, you may ask. Well there are a number of reasons. 

I have always LOVED writing and enjoyed creating and sharing content. I also wanted to find a way of earning money online, which could potentially support us (my fiance and I) while we travel around Europe. There were also some more personal issues, including work related stress causing me to leave my city based job and subsequently facing some HORRIBLE debts and being financially in the Sh*t (pardon my French!). 

Basically I felt disillusioned, tired and sure that there must be a better way to live!

I have tried numerous ways of making money online with little success and then I stumbled upon Squidoo. And more importantly I stumbled across ONE WEEK MARKETING, which is THE PLAN that I attribute to my success so far. Now things are not perfect, and I am certainly not making big bucks online yet, and I AM making money, and it is building up, and I feel that I am on the right path!

I use a few various methods and I love using Squidoo because it is a free platform where I can post my content easily and get traffic.

Online Earnings Report

My goal is to earn enough money online, and through my other work, to pay for myself and my fiance to go traveling around Europe, and also to set up passive income that will support us as we travel. I am happy to continue working online while we are traveling to generate extra that I expect we will need.

I have no idea about how much I will be able to earn online, although I know that there is opportunity here, even in these tougher times of Panda and Penguin updates. So in some respects this aspect of my work is an unknown quantity, and I am going to treat it as an experiment. I have decided to keep a record here on my blog of exactly how much income I generate online. This will include what I earn through Squidoo, and also what I generate through other online channels such as InfoBarrel, Adsense and Odesk.

At this stage it is still very early in the game and so I am going to split it into cash I have actually RECEIVED, and money that I have earned and is still pending. This is because for many affiliate programs, and for adsense you only get a payout when you reach a certain threshold. Once my income gains momentum and I am earning a decent amount I will no longer share the 'pending' money.

* I haven't worked much on Odesk recently because I have been busy sorting out some stuff with my real life fitness business, however I have some time clear now and intend to increase my Odesk hours over the coming weeks.

So not exactly enough to pack the bags yet, and I always knew and expected that this would take time to build up and gain momentum. BOOKMARK THIS PAGE and keep checking back as I will update my earning report each month for the next year.

I wonder how close we will be to achieving our goal by then.
